America is Going “Green” Without Having a Compromise

For a very long time nearly all real estate ‘gurus’ have disregarded the potential of the green homes marketplace.
It seemed like there wasn’t anything intriguing enough with solar panels or sustainable materials that would help make this specific field of the industry attractive.
Well, things are changing recently, and numerous sales professionals today are finding the value of energy-saving, eco-aware housing.
Heating and cooling costs are rising and even people formerly disinterested in environmental issues, will understand the advantages of owning an energy efficient home. An increased awareness in issues regarding land use and eco-degradation have also helped boost green building initiatives. Those cliched myths that green housing implied tree-houses composed of recycled auto tires and painted in green, are gone forever.
Tens of thousands of green, eco-friendly homes ( green homes ) have already been built in the United States. These homes were simply built to adjust to certain green requirements. In addition, demand among recent home buyers has bolstered the demand for green home improvement in existing properties.
Even though earlier research demonstrated that the majority of potential buyers would welcome the advantage to live in a green home, some people were unhappy about paying more for the privilege. Although It can be difficult evaluating the actual long term saving benefits that can be produced from having an eco-efficient property, the fact that many buyers in the current market are likely to remain in their homes for longer time is making these benefits attractive and tangible.
Regardless of whether green, eco-friendly houses ( green homes ) are sold on the basis of cost-savings via energy efficiency, or due to political ethics, the significance of green, eco-friendly homes in the marketplace industry should not be underestimated.
Believe it or not, but an article on the Property Wire website recently revealed that in some US markets greener homes are outselling conventional ones. Green, eco-efficient properties are not only selling faster, but also commanding greater prices compared to their traditional alternatives.
Now, as developers look for tactics to come up with new construction that will be more attractive to potential home seekers, it appears that we are likely going to witness ongoing growth in eco-friendly developments. Buyers and sellers turn out to be far more money-conscious and eco-knowledgeable than previously thought, so it seems like that grass on the other side, truly might turn out to become greener.
